Kadans seeks director to put UK portfolio ‘on the map’

Kadans Science Partner has launched a hunt for a director to bolster its leasing strategy across its UK developments and put its growing portfolio “on the map”.

The developer is recruiting a business development director, a newly created role that also focuses on building a strong network of relationships.

The new joiner is expected help Kadans identify and convert leasing opportunities for its portfolio, attract new tenants to its spaces and make a direct contribution to business growth.

The incoming business development director will also work closely with Kadans’ pan-European sales teams to make best use of the developer’s global network.

In its post advertising the job, Kadans said the hire will “further put Kadans on the map in the UK and continue to grow with us”.

The move comes as Kadans has recently completed the redevelopment of 5-10 Brandon Road in King’s Cross, N7, and secured planning permissions for 4 Brandon Road as well as the schemes at Upper Brook Street in Manchester and Merlin Place in Cambridge (pictured).

At the same time, the firm has begun the next phase of construction for One North Quay in Canary Wharf, E14, which it claims to be the largest life science building in Europe.

The expansion of the UK team comes shortly after Oli Appleyard joined as leasing manager in April this year. He joined from Knight Frank and will work alongside property portfolio manager Mark Hanna and head of UK leasing Katie Nelson.

Last year, Kadans outlined plans to expand its UK headcount, with an ambition to grow the team to 16 experts by the end of 2023 and add more people going forward into 2024.
