BioMed makes trio of promotions

BioMed Realty has promoted Colleen O’Connor to executive vice president and market lead for the US East Coast and UK.

O’Connor has been promoted from senior VP and is one of three officers given new responsibilities at the firm.

Joanna Hilvert has been promoted to vice president for integration, environmental and ESG, while Dan Krachon becomes vice president, facilities.

“Our latest promotions recognise three individuals who will continue to be instrumental to BioMed Realty’s success as we help our tenants deliver on life enhancing innovations,” said chief executive Tim Schoen. “Investors and tenants are increasingly demonstrating a preference for strong partnerships, outstanding facilities and sustainable buildings, and BioMed Realty’s innovation across these capabilities continue to set our company apart.”

O’Connor joined BioMed Realty in 2014 and has been instrumental in growing its profile, said the firm. In her elevated role, she will be responsible for overseeing leasing and operations across the US East Coast and UK markets.

BioMed is owned by Blackstone and owns a number of assets across Cambridge. Outside of the UK it owns and operates multiple buildings across other global life sciences clusters, including Cambridge in Massachusetts, San Francisco, San Diego, Boulder and Seattle.
