Final piece of Dorset neighbourhood gets go-ahead

Pennyfarthing Homes has secured planning permission for the third and final phase of Potters Wood development in the Dorset village of Verwood.

The developer has started the project in 2019.

The decision will bring the total number of homes on the scheme to 268, with the third phase delivering 38 homes, 19 of which will be designated as affordable. They will consist of two- and three-bedroom houses, as well as one and two-bedroom flats.

Construction is set to begin later this year, with the first homes expected to be available by January 2025.

Matt Dukes, managing director of Pennyfarthing Homes, said: “Potters Wood has been a success, proving popular with local home-movers and people wanting to move closer to the New Forest.

“We look forward to seeing the positive impact this final phase of the development will have on local residents and the broader area.”
