Revamped Kingsway office block signs first tenant

Property Market Analysis has taken the top floor of the recently repositioned office building at 33 Kingsway, WC2.

The property research consultancy will occupy 5,308 sq ft of workspace on a 15-year lease.

The deal is the first since Stars REI redeveloped the 60,000 sq ft building. The refurbishment, designed by Rolfe Judd Architecture and led by Trinova Real Estate, featured a new entrance and reception area, boutique-style end-of-journey facilities, a gym and other amenities.

The 10-storey building is expected to achieve a BREEAM Excellent certification and has secured a Platinum ActiveScore rating.

According to market sources, Rice Search Partners is under offer for 3,687 sq ft of fitted workspace on part of the third floor of the building. Asking prices for space start from £62.50 per sq ft.

Mike McCarrick, head of development and asset management at Trinova, said: “[Property Market Analysis’] long-term lease is a testament to the exceptional quality and sustainability features of our transformed building, as well as the variety of local amenities and strong transport links that Midtown offers.”

Felipe Bertoni, senior vice president at Stars REI, said: “This agreement is a culmination of our vision for the building’s transformation, creating a high-quality and sustainable work environment.”

Nick Price, managing partner at Property Market Analysis, added: “Taking a 15-year lease in a building with larger and more flexible floorspace provides an attractive and collaborative working environment for our staff and will enhance PMA’s long-term development plans.”

JLL and Farebrother are the leasing agents at 33 Kingsway.
