Berkeley Homes has submitted a revised planning application to the London Borough of Southwark for the mixed-use redevelopment of the Borough Triangle site, SE1.
The proposals, which “meet updated Building Regulations”, comprise 892 homes, of which 35% will be affordable.
The scheme also includes 5,000 sq ft of community space, office and retail premises and a home for the Mercato Metropolitano food hall located on the current site.
Berkeley’s previous proposals for the site were submitted in 2022 and comprised 838 homes in buildings of up to 46 storeys.
The housebuilder acquired the site from Peabody in 2021.
