Dandara plans 399-bed Bristol PBSA scheme

Dandara has launched plans for a 399-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Bristol.

The developer is proposing to redevelop a one-acre site on Little George Street, according to an environmental impact assessment lodged with Bristol City Council ahead of a planning application.

The site consists of two vacant single-storey warehouse buildings and associated hardstanding which were last used by Alide Hire Services, a tool hire company, which ceased operations from the site in January.

The new buildings will range from five to nine storeys in height and include internal amenity spaces, public and private open space and commercial/community uses at ground-floor level.

The site is within the Frome Gateway Regeneration Area. Dandara said in its consultation for the site: “We’re designing new student homes and new community spaces on Little George Street that will open up the riverside and help create new green spaces and connections for the local community in St Jude’s.”
