GPE signs retail trio for Oxford Street scheme

GPE has signed up a trio of brands to take a combined 20,000 sq ft at the western end of its Mount Royal scheme on Oxford Street, W1.

Immersive gaming brand Activate (We Do Play) has signed a 15-year lease for its first London store at 530 Mount Royal. Keikoo, a toy store, is also opening its first outlet, signing for a 10-year lease at 532-534. Italian restaurant brand Caffé Concerto has taken a 15-year lease at 536-540.

The three will join TK Maxx’s 22,500 sq ft Oxford Street flagship, set to open later this year.

Sarah Goldman, head of retail at GPE, said: “Combined with TK Maxx completing and the associated regear of Superdrug, we have now secured new lettings on almost 60% of the space available at Mount Royal to great brands who all have a long-term vision for the location. Having a diverse offer of retail brands at Mount Royal shows that we are committed to creating a true destination that will continue the much-needed retail revolution we are seeing on Oxford Street.”
