CLS has secured Médecins Sans Frontières (UK) as a new tenant at its Artesian building at 9 Prescot Street, E1.
The NGO has agreed a 10-year lease on 12,052 sq ft, occupying the 5th floor. Quoting rents in the building are from £47.50 per sq ft.
Médecins Sans Frontières is expected to move into the space in December following the completion of fit-out works by CLS.
The Artesian is a 1930s Art Deco building that has been refurbished by CLS to provide 91,000 sq ft of office space. It is EPC A rated and is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating.
CLS chief executive Fredrik Widlund said: “CLS has worked hard to sensitively refurbish the space to retain many of the building’s Art Deco features, while ensuring that it offers high-quality, modern and sustainable working spaces and amenities within.
“The property is located in the Aldgate and Whitechapel area, which is a vibrant area which has undergone a lot of development recently. Conversations with other potential tenants continue, and we are hopeful to secure more leases in the months ahead.”
Compton and Cushman & Wakefield are letting agents on the building.
