Luxury fashion brands pick King’s Cross for distribution hub

Luxury fashion houses Chanel and Alexander McQueen have snapped up light industrial facilities in King’s Cross, N7.

The two companies will share a 35,391 sq ft warehouse on Brewery Road owned by the City of London Corporation. The building can be split into two, each with its own goods lifts and loading bay. It has been recently refurbished and has a new roof with PV panels, LED lighting and an EPC B rating.

According to Radius data, the deal was signed for five years at £23 per sq ft.

The facility, which has ground and basement levels with offices on the first floor, is within easy access of the A5203 and A5200. It is also close to St Pancras International.

Chris Wade, director at Strettons, said: “Having been involved with the property for several years, it’s been great to witness its full refurbishment into a modern urban logistics facility.

“The deals demonstrate the continued healthy level of demand for flexible industrial and logistics space, well served by public transport connections into central London.”

Cushman & Wakefield and Strettons acted for the landlord; Wilson McHardy represented both tenants.
