Fresh appointed to UBS’s Glassworks PBSA in Bristol

Fresh, the third-party management company of Watkin Jones, has been appointed to lease and manage Glassworks, a 367-bed purpose-built student accommodation property in Bristol.

Glassworks in Bristol, which is set to open in January 2025, will be the sixth property Fresh manages on behalf of UBS Asset Management’s Real Estate & Private Markets business. It also manages schemes in Belfast, Durham, London, Nottingham and Newcastle.

The property will consist of 367 beds including 117 cluster, 206 studio and 44 twodio apartments. It includes a cinema, yoga room, gym, study room, social spaces, a games area and a Zen garden.

The scheme, which also comprises 468-home build-to-rent homes, was approved in 2021.

Oliver Abram, portfolio manager at UBS AM REPM said: “Bristol is a vibrant city with a significant and growing student population, which is experiencing a shortage of high-quality student accommodation, and we are pleased to be delivering Glassworks in January 2025. We look forward to working with Fresh who will be managing this asset on our behalf.”
