Aberdeen City Council has given the go-ahead to Persley Croft’s 49.9-megawatt battery energy storage facility in Danestone.
The proposals will be delivered by REPD through the redevelopment of a 1.7-acre site comprising derelict agricultural buildings.
The scheme will see about £20m invested to construct 20 battery energy storage containers, 10 inverter and transformer hubs, customer switch, control and store buildings, and a distribution network operator control building.
Pegasus advised on planning.
