Planning officers at Cherwell District Council have recommended the approval of Oxford University Development’s plans for a 1.7m sq ft life sciences-led scheme in Begbroke.
The scheme, designed by Hawkins/Brown, includes 1,800 homes on a 421-acre site adjacent to Begbroke Science Park.
The proposals were lodged by the joint venture between the University of Oxford and Legal & General year ago.
The mixed-use scheme features 226,000 sq ft of amenity space, a farm shop, nursery, school, community building and sports pitch.
Planning papers say it will have a GVA of around £365m.
If approved, the construction of the project is scheduled to begin in 2025.
