Stirling Ackroyd sets up flex office advisory arm

London agency Stirling Ackroyd has launched a flexible office advisory service. Stirling Ackroyd Flex is led by Alexandra Gathercole and will advise occupiers on finding flex space. Gathercole and her team have 12 years of experience working with flex operators and landlords and said the new business will be able to offer occupiers off-market deals. Gathercole said: “Flexible office solutions have surged in popularity. Once dominated by SMEs and startups, they now appeal to businesses of all sizes and within a range of industries – from corporate global workforces to remote companies.” Gathercole said workspaces with an increased focus on wellbeing, technology and sustainability are proven to increase productivity and, due to high demand, many landlords were now adapting to offer these types of spaces on more flexible terms. She added: “We have also seen a sharp rise in managed solutions, with landlords and flex operators adapting to the needs of the modern tenant.
