Barratt tipped to get go-ahead for 260-home Lewisham plan

Planning officers at Lewisham Council have recommended the approval of a 262-home scheme on the former Bell Green Gasworks site in south-east London.

The proposals for six buildings across three plots were submitted by Barratt in November last year. The homes will range from studios to three-bedroom flats, 30% of which will be classified as affordable.

The plans also include 8,405 sq ft of flexible retail and office space, public realm, living roof, amenity space, cycle and car parking.

The wider area around the former Bell Green Gasworks site has been redeveloped to form the Bell Green Retail Park, including large supermarkets such as Aldi and Sainsbury’s.
