Canary Wharf Group’s Montgomery Square revamp recommended for approval

Planning officers at London Borough of Tower Hamlets have recommended the approval of Canary Wharf Group’s proposal to revamp the public realm and build a retail pavilion at Montgomery Square and Water Street, E14.

The development committee will discuss the plans for approval early next week.

Plans were submitted by CWG in July this year.

Under the proposals, a flexible event space and a three-storey 5,873 sq ft timber-framed retail pavilion will be built alongside public realm.

If approved, the project is expected to be finished by late next year.
