Fairway Capital has been granted planning permission by Westminster City Council for a £50m residential and office scheme in Belgravia, SW1.
The scheme is located on the site of the historic Belgravia Garage in the Belgravia Conservation Area. The Fairway Capital Fund acquired the the short lease from the garage operators and the freehold from the Grosvenor Estate.
Designed by developer Leconfield Property Group and architects MSMR, the Eaton Mews West scheme will provide 4,585 sq ft of office space and six terraced houses – the first new mews houses to be built in Belgravia since the 1950s.
George Brooksbank, chief executive of Fairway Capital, said: “Due to the significant construction costs and specialist restoration skills required to transform the Eaton Mews West site into a high-quality residential address, Fairway Capital entered into a special partnership with estate landowner Grosvenor whereby we purchased the freehold of the site from them.”
