Harbour Exchange office-to-resi revamp gets go-ahead

Gaw Capital and City & Docklands have been given permission to deliver a 52-storey residential tower at 4 & 5 Harbour Exchange, E14.

Tower Hamlets planning committee waved the scheme through after discussing it for the third time. The plans include 450 homes, 1,335 sq ft of retail space, 3,060 sq ft of community space, 5,770 sq ft creative space and 27,860 sq ft amenity space.

The developers worked with the council to address concerns about the proportion of affordable family-sized homes to be delivered. The revised plans provide 52 affordable three- and four-bedroom family-sized flats, up from 37 family-sized flats featured in initial plans.

Prior to that, the decision was deferred amid the request for site visit
