Alternative residential developer, investor and manager Node has received planning consent to redevelop the Island Site in Woolwich, SE18.
The scheme will provide 494 co-living homes, alongside shops, offices and a dance studio. Many of the existing listed buildings on the site will be retained and extended. The development will also include 20 homes to be let at London Affordable Rent.
The three-acre site currently comprises a mix of uses, including 76,000 sq ft of office space, 26,000 sq ft of dance studios, 10,000 sq ft of retail premises and 2,000 sq ft of restaurant/café space.
The site is located in the Bathway Quarter Conservation Area in the centre of Woolwich.
Node will develop the Island Site in partnership with Ziser & Co, alongside three other London schemes comprising 900 beds. The developments have a GDV of £400m.
