Savills has added David Tew and Chris Hobday to its national industrial and logistics team, based at the Birmingham office.
The pair join from Avison Young, where Tew was director and Hobday was associate director. They will be tasked with helping to grow Savills’ industrial and logistics offer in the Midlands alongside Ranjit Gill, Christian Smith and Katie Monks.
Tew specialises in advising developers and funds on large-scale and mid-box schemes, as well as acting for occupiers and landowners. While focusing on projects primarily in the Midlands and South East, Tew has also worked with clients with a national reach, such as Prologis, CCLA, Logicor, Aviva and M&G.
Hobday has over eight years’ experience working with clients across industrial, distribution, logistics and open storage assets, including Chancerygate, IM Properties, Goodman, Abrdn and Mileway. Before joining Avison Young, he worked at Holt Commercial, and in Yorkshire with both Eddisons and Tapp Chartered Surveyors.
Richard Sullivan, national head of industrial and logistics at Savills, said: “Savills remains committed to providing the best possible service to clients in the UK and the strategic hire of David and Chris will help to grow and enhance our offer in the Midlands.”
Ranjit Gill, head of the Birmingham industrial and logistics team at Savills, added: “Their extensive knowledge of the Midlands industrial and logistics market will bolster our existing proposition and ensure we remain the go-to for investors, developers and occupiers across the region.”
