Colliers picks new UK chief executive

Colliers has appointed John Munday as the chief executive of Colliers UK, effective 3 March 2025.

Munday will set the strategic direction of the UK transactional and advisory services business, which has more than 1,000 employees.

He joined Colliers in 2022 as co-head of project & building consultancy following the establishment of a strategic partnership with building and project consultancy Paragon, where he was co-managing director.

Munday will succeed Tony Horrell, who is to retire after 14 years as chief executive of Colliers’ UK business. Horrell will remain with Colliers UK & Ireland as a non-executive chairman.

Horrell said: “Since joining Colliers, John has proved to be an enterprising, connected and results-driven leader who has accelerated our UK project management and asset enhancement services for investor, owner and occupier clients alike.

“John and I share a similar work ethic, and I hand over the reins confident that he possesses the right values, business acumen and instincts to lead our geographically diverse and balanced business into a new era of growth.”

Davoud Amel-Azizpour, chief executive, Colliers EMEA said: “John has an impressive track record of creating successful businesses and leading large teams that have the ability to respond to client needs and market dynamics. I look forward to seeing him imprint his vision to further enhance our UK business and extensive organisation of real estate experts.”
