Sparrow Shared Ownership, the registered provider created out of USS’s purchase of more than 3,000 homes from Blackstone earlier this year, has appointed a new non-executive director.
Jonathan Wallbank, a chartered accountant and group finance director at Orbit Group, has been appointed to the board as a NED and chair of Sparrow’s audit and risk assurance committee.
The appointment completes the board, which comprises chair David Avery and directors Amanda Davies, Eamon Ray, Andrew Rose and Sarah Wall.
Sparrow was launched by USS in August following its purchase of 3,000 shared-ownership homes in a £405m deal, the biggest in shared ownership since the scheme’s creation in 1990.
