Alpha Real Trust buys Liverpool Travelodge for £6.5 m

Alpha Real Trust has acquired a 100-bedroom Travelodge hotel in Speke, Liverpool, for £6.5m. The hotel is held on a long leasehold by Travelodge with 17 years remaining, at an annual rent of £490,000, which is subject to inflation-linked adjustments, delivering a yield of 7.6% per annum. ART said the acquisition provided the company with the opportunity to secure a stable, long-term income and the investment presented potential for capital growth. Travelodge acquired the freehold of the hotel in 2017 for £7.5m.
