More homes get the nod in Liverpool

Liverpool City Council has given the go-ahead for the proposed £23.6m redevelopment of 118-124 Duke Street

The decision is in line with last week’s recommendation given by the planning officer.

Davos Property, the development arm of retailer TJ Morris, will convert a terrace of four three-storey Grade II listed Georgian townhouses into 88 flats, ranging in size from one to three bedrooms.

The developer has also proposed a roof terrace, while the basement will include cycle storage, a residents’ lounge, laundry room and storage locker room. The ground floor will see the creation of 3,767 sq ft commercial space.

The scheme was designed by Falconer Chester Hall. Turley advised on planning matters.
