Alternative uses could yield top results for Surbiton education campus

Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College has placed its Hillcroft Campus on South Bank in Surbiton on the market for offers over £7m.

The site is being sold with the potential for either continued educational use or alternative uses such as residential, subject to the necessary consents being obtained.

The Victorian Hillcroft Campus is set across a 3.75-acre site and features a Grade II listed, three-storey main building dating from the late 19th century, offering 24,273 sq ft of space.

The property is complemented by Powell House, a 1960s accommodation block providing 5,188 sq ft, and a Grade II listed converted stable block connected to the main building.

Knight Frank is marketing the site. Jasper Upton, associate in the agency’s education and charities team, said: “This rare opportunity presents an exceptional chance to acquire a substantial educational campus in a highly sought-after Greater London location.

“The site’s proximity to central London, combined with its historical significance and alternative use potential, makes it an attractive proposition for educational providers or developers seeking to establish a presence in this thriving area.”
