Brookfield’s life sciences spin-off Advanced Research Clusters has been given the go-ahead to expand Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Didcot, Oxfordshire.
The proposed Tech Edge West scheme would add another two office and lab buildings on the 9.4-acre brownfield site.
The development, designed by Scott Brownrigg, will provide almost 70,000 sq ft of facilities, replacing redundant road infrastructure, along with areas of woodland, scrub and grassland.
The buildings are expected to be multi-occupier and multi-use, providing flexible letting options and a base design for a shell and core which will be ready for future tenant fit-outs.
Carter Jonas advised ARC on planning.
