Monday
The latest UK house price data from Halifax will be revealed. In February, the annual average house price rose by 2.9% to £298,602, reflecting resilience in the property market despite ongoing economic pressures. On a monthly basis, house prices fell by 0.1% after adding 0.6% in January.
Tuesday
The UK’s largest listed multi-brand lettings and estate agency Property Franchise Group will deliver its final results. The firm is expected to report growth following the merger with Belvoir Group and the acquisition of Fine & Country and the Guild of Property Professionals.
Wednesday
JD Sports will report its performance over the final weeks of 2024. Most recently, the company has signalled that sales across its stores are outperforming its online channel.
Thursday
Tesco is expected to publish its final financial figures. The grocer has continued to expand its property portfolio, with 44 stores opened in the first half of 2024, 26 of which were in the UK.
Manchester City Council’s planning committee has recommended the approval of Salboy’s proposed second phase of its Viadux scheme. The move comes after the developer, in partnership with Domus, revised its plans late last year to include a 160-room hotel in the 76-storey building, reducing the number of homes in the tower from 782 to 452.
Glenbrook’s Whitworth Street West proposals are also on the agenda. The developer has proposed to bring forward a 44-storey residential tower comprising 364 flats, along with 7,750 sq ft of internal and external commercial space.
Vita Group is also awaiting a green light from the council to kick off the construction of the next phase of its First Street masterplan. The proposals feature a part 12-, part 33-storey PBSA building, comprising 750 bedrooms, with ground-floor amenity space.
Leeds City Council is expected to decide on the future of UCR’s proposed residential block on the 1.9-acre site between Wellington Road and Armley Road. Overall, the scheme will provide 384 flats alongside internal and external amenity spaces and integral cycle storage.
Cherwell District Council has been recommended to give the go-ahead for the delivery of 10 speculative industrial facilities and car park on the site off the southern end of Higham Way within Banbury village. The 32,604 sq ft scheme has been brought forward by E5 Commercial.
