Patron Capital has appointed Henry Randolph as a partner in its new real estate credit business, targeting investment opportunities across European real estate markets.
Randolph joins from CBRE where he was a senior director on the capital advisors’ lending platform. Prior to this, he worked at Barclays in the property debt finance team and has 15 years of industry experience.
Working closely with Patron’s senior leadership team, Randolph will be developing Patron’s real estate credit business. He will build on Patron’s longstanding success in value-add and opportunistic real estate investing in Europe, focusing on real estate debt opportunities across multiple property sectors.
Patron’s significant investor base will fund its new credit business that will be supplemented, where appropriate, by existing equity committed to Patron’s current fund, Patron Capital, L.P. VII.
Patron is also in talks with new investors and capital partners interested in investing in credit opportunities it has identified.
Stephen Green, senior partner at Patron Capital, said: “We welcome Henry to the business. With a 26-year track record of opportunistic real estate investment across Europe, we are expanding into new segments of the real estate market. At a time when traditional lenders are constrained, we see significant opportunities for private businesses with real estate expertise to step in and fill funding gaps many borrowers are faced with. Henry will play a key role as we develop our business in the space.”
Randolph added: “I couldn’t be more excited to join Patron. The granular approach the business takes to asset underwriting and its hugely successful long-term track record are a fantastic base from which to build a credit-focused business. I look forward to working closely with Patron’s senior leadership team and my new colleagues across the business to achieve this goal.”
