Harworth posts record revenue

Harworth Group has posted a record revenue in its annual results – resulting in a profit that eclipsed its revenue from juts a year ago.

The regeneration specialist reported revenue of £181.6m for the year to 31 December 2024, leaping from £72.4m in 2023. EPRA net development value was up 8.5% year on year, with a total accounting return of 9.1%.

Profit came in at £74.6m, up by more than a third.

Chief executive Lynda Shillaw said the performance showed “the resilience of our through-the-cycle business model and highlights our ability to capitalise on emerging sectors, such as data centres, to accelerate our sites”.

The company struck two big land sales during the year, one to Microsoft for a hyperscale data centre and the other to Frasers Group for its global headquarters.

Shillaw added: “While we remain cautious in light of the current macro-economic backdrop, our financial flexibility and careful capital allocation, and alignment to structurally undersupplied sectors fundamental to the UK’s growth, mean we are well placed to navigate uncertainty.”
