Tuesday

Kirklees Council cabinet is set to consider a one-year extension proposed for the existing Kingsgate Shopping Centre loan in a move to support the ongoing transformation of the 410,000 sq ft mall, which sits in Huddersfield town centre, West Yorkshire. The Property Investment Fund, which provided the loan, is the council’s investment arm designed to enable regeneration projects that bring wider benefits to the town centre and the local economy.

In addition, the council will be asked to approve the request to appoint a development partner for the transformation of Estate Buildings in Huddersfield. The project recently secured £1.3m of One Public Estate Brownfield Land Release funding to prepare the Grade ll listed building for the redevelopment into town centre homes.

Wednesday

Fuller Smith & Turner will report its annual results. Earlier this year, the pub chain operator added The White Swan in Twickenham, west London, to its portfolio.

Thursday

Tesco will issue an update on its trading performance. Over the last financial year, which ended in February, the company opened 90 stores and recently said it expects a similar level of capital investment in the expansion of its store network in its current trading year.

Leeds Council’s planning committee will have Town Centre Securities’ proposals to bring forward a 37-storey tower and refurbish Wade House to provide a total of 1,039 student rooms. The proposals form part of the wider Merrion Centre redevelopment aimed to ensure the future vitality and viability of the estate amid changing market environment.

York Council’s planners have recommended to approve Mason Residences’ proposed redevelopment of former office block at 5 Main Street in Heslington into student accommodation. The scheme comes back on the table, having been postponed in March amid concerns raised around the scheme’s impact on unique character of the village.
