The Premier League has chosen to base its new in-house media operational business at Yoo Capital and Deutsche Finance International’s One Olympia, W14, on the duo’s Olympia campus in Hammersmith.
The Premier League has agreed to a 20-year lease for 73,000 sq ft in the building, which offers a total of 550,000 sq ft of office space and forms part of Yoo and Deutsche’s wider £1.3bn, 14-acre redevelopment of Olympia.
While Olympia’s opening is scheduled to start later this year, Premier League Studio’s operations within the new HQ are set to kick-off once an extensive fit-out is completed ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
It will join flexible workspace operator International Workspace Group (IWG), which signed as the development’s first tenant in February last year. It will be taking 70,000 sq ft to occupy the entire fifth floor of the building, where it will provide flexible workspace facilities.
The multi-purpose destination will offer a mix of entertainment, hospitality and cultural spaces, including: a 1,575-seat theatre; a 4,000-capacity music venue; over 30 restaurants, bars and eateries, including operators such as Incipio and D3 Collective; two new hotels; and a boutique gym, operated by 1Rebel.
Deutsche Finance International and Yoo Capital acquired the Olympia London exhibition centre from Capital & Counties for £296m in 2017. The site is being redeveloped into a Heatherwick Studio and SPPARC-designed cultural, entertainment and business hub with a projected annual footfall of 10 million.
