Schroders appoints joint agents for Manchester’s Marshall Building

Schroders Real Estate Investment Trust has appointed Savills and OBI as joint agents to let the fifth floor of the Marshall Building in St Ann’s Square in Manchester.

Formerly known as St Ann’s House, the 51,885 sq ft building is being redesigned and restored to include a new business lounge-style reception, event and meeting spaces and a wellness studio.

The available fifth floor comprises 5,077 sq ft of office space, out of the building’s total of 40,277 sq ft across its five upper floors.

Daniel Barnes, director in Savills Manchester, said: “[The Marshall Building’s] central location gives it great access to local transport as well as the best of Manchester’s food and drink scene. The substantial refurbishment, delivering the business lounge and wellness facilities, will transform the scheme and offer best-in-class facilities meeting modern day occupiers’ ESG requirements.”

Schroders acquired the building for around £14.7m from Aberdeen Investment Management in 2022.
