Jaguar gets green light

The European Commission has approved a £71.3m UK government package for Jaguar to ensure the car company’s new X200 will be built at its Castle Bromwich home in the Midlands. The investment involves the building of a final assembly operation to add to its existing body assembly and advanced paint shop. The investment is expected to breathe new life into the area. The deal removed the threat of the company moving the plant to America.
