Monk Rawling buys Fleury Manico

Monk Rawling’s expansion continues with the acquisition of specialist leisure surveyors Fleury Manico.

While MR managing director Jonathan Marshall refused to disclose how much the company paid for Fleury Manico, he confirmed there would be no redundancies. “If anything, we’re expanding,” he said.

Fleury Manico employs 12 surveyors and has offices in Brighton and London. It also has associated offices in the West Country as well as in Tours and Nantes in France. Fleury Manico will now have a presence at MR’s Crawley, Worthing, Chatham and Winchester offices. MR employs 30 qualified surveyors and 50 staff in total.

Fleury Manico will continue to trade under its own name. The deal never made it to the open market.

Jonathan Marshall added: “We see the leisure sector as possibly the sector which will achieve the highest growth in the short to medium term, which is why we made the move.”
