Arlington Securities is planning a 142ha (350acre) business park next to East Midlands airport between Nottingham and Derby. The developer is understood to have secured options over land near the A453 and A42 near Diseworth, Leicestershire.
Arlington development director Jim Johnston confirmed the company’s interest in the site but stressed that it was a long-term project.
Earlier proposals for business parks in the area have fallen foul of the local planners’ insistence on protecting green land between Nottingham and Derby.Johnston said that Arlington’s preferred approach would be to try to get the scheme adopted as part of the new structure plan.
