Hamilton Trustees submit plans for 8,589 sq m mixed-use scheme in Leicester

Hamilton Trustees has submitted a planning application for a 92,454 sq ft (8,589 sq m) mixed-use development on the Hamilton Housing Estate in Leicester. The proposals include an anchor food store, unit shops, a doctor’s surgery, a petrol station and a pub.

But even if Leicester Council grants planning consent, work will not be able to start until a contract has been awarded for the A46/A47 link road. The council is expected to bid for £3m in Government funding for the road in July, with a decision due in December.
