Suffolk Coastal Council planning committee has decided that it is minded to approve a planning application by the Chris Parker Group for 5,703sq m (61,388sq ft) of B1 space, 535 houses, a primary school and a village centre on the former Bentwaters USAF airbase, near Woodbridge, subject to legal agreements.
The airbase is being marketed by Bidwells on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.
