Hyder looks for £10m property disposals
Hyder, the multi-utility formed after Welsh Water’s £893m takeover of Swalec, is to cut 900 jobs in a reorganisation set to save £100m a year in costs by the end of the century. The group said it was moving to divest certain non-core activities previously belonging to Swalec. It expects to receive about £10m from property disposals this year and it is also looking at the future of its 7% stake in a power station.
