Ford Credit Europe has taken an underlease on the 1,149sq m (12,370sq ft) second floor of Warley House, Brentwood in Essex, for a term expiring in March 2001.
The agreed rent is close to the asking figure £212.59 per sq m (£19.50 per sq ft), according to Mark Chatham of Countryside Commercial, which has a lease on the whole building.
Countryside Commercial, which occupies 1,705sq m (18,353sq ft) at Warley House, developed the building and sold the investment to Scottish Amicable. Warley House is at the entrance to Warley Hill Business Park, and opposite Ford Credit’s European headquarters at the 3,716sq m (40,000sq ft) Jubilee House, which Countryside also developed.
Weatherall Green & Smith and Countrywide Commercial advised Countryside Commercial in the letting to Ford.
