The UK’s largest greenfield manufacturing start-up to be funded by venture capital opened yesterday — a £40m hardboard mill, near Ebbw Vale, in south Wales. The purpose-built factory, on a 6.88 ha (17 acre) industrial estate site has a capacity of 88,000 tonnes a year.
