Matsushita Electric of Japan is to invest £7.6m at its Cardiff plant in an expansion which will create more than 300 jobs over the next three years. The project, funded with a Welsh Office grant, will increase the plant’s output of microwave ovens and introduce the production of digital video boxes and digital television.
