Pearson sells Westminster Press to Newsquest for £305m
Pearson sold Westminster Press yesterday to Newsquest for £305m. The acquisition is backed by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Cinven. The deal doubles the size of Newsquest, which last year snapped up Reed Elsevier’s regional newspaper business.
Pearson announced a 40% slump in interim pre-tax profits yesterday to £30m.
