Lord Hanson insists the demerger of his business is “firmly on track”. He signed agreements to secure £4.5bn in bank facilities for the independent companies yesterday.
Hanson is closing only part of its Lincolnshire chemicals plant and less than a fifth of its Maryland capacity.
