Capacity at regional airports looks set to soar this winter following a £15m agreement between Canadian charter company Bluebird Express and airline Canada 3000. Under the terms of the contract, there will be year-round charter flights between the UK and North America.
Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester will be among the beneficiaries of the deal. Also, Bluebird’s capacity to Canada will increase to more than 40,000 seats.
