A fresh controversy has broken out over the former Cardiff Bay Opera House project, which has been renamed the Wales Millennium Centre.
The new row was sparked by the selection of the Percy Thomas Partnership as architects for the £60m scheme. Zaha Hadid, the winner of the international competition to design the opera house, is furious she and her team have not been retained for the new project. Hadid’s original plan was dropped when it failed to win Millennium Commission funding.
