MAB will shortly submit an outline planning applications for 15,793 sq m (170,000 sq ft) of retail. The plans include proposals for two 1,858 sq m (20,000 sq ft) anchor stores. The site is in multiple ownership, with O&C Estates holding the majority share.

Hill Woolhouse advised MAB. Donaldsons represented the council, which had also shortlisted proposals from Bridehall, Taylor Woodrow, Trinity Investments and Crest Nicholson.

Earlier this year the council selected Trinity Investments for the 2.02ha (5 acre) Broad Street site. The site includes a council-owned car park, and was identified in Donaldsons’ report on bulky goods retailing in the town.
