McDonalds, Pizza Hut, KFC and Bass are the latest tenants to sign up for a £150m leisure and retail development at Middlebrook near Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Orbit Developments, Bolton Council and Bolton Wanderers FC are jointly developing the 120,770 sq m (1.3m sq ft) scheme. Warner Bros will operate a 12-screen multiplex in the 23,225 sq m (250,000 sq ft) leisure phase. Asda has also agreed a lease on a 8,825 sq m (95,000 sq ft) foodstore and JB Sports on a 1,672 sq m (18,000 sq ft) retail unit. An additional five retail units are under offer, and a night club operator will be announced shortly.
The scheme will also include a 25,000-seat stadium for Bolton FC, a health club, a tennis centre and football academy, as well as business space and residential. The 80.94ha (200 acre site) is owned by the council.
