Mowlem PFI Solutions has won a £15m contract to develop a new 9,890 sq m (106,458.5 sq ft) office for the Inland Revenue in Bootle, Merseyside.
Mowlem is expected to complete work by 1998 when the 630 Inland Revenue staff will move from their existing premises in St John’s House, The Strand, into the new offices.
This is the Inland Revenue’s second PFI project. The first involving new buildings in Manchester and Stockport were announced last month.
