Yorkshire-based Commercial Development Projects, part of the Marshall Construction Group, is planning a £7.2m office scheme on the former HMSO site next to the M66 motorway extension in Oldham.
CDP will start work on the 14,860 sq m (160,000 sq ft) B1, B2 and B8 development in 1998, once the M66 south of Greater Manchester, now under construction, is completed. The units are expected to be finished in 1999.
In the meantime, CDP will offer the existing 23,225 sq m (250,000 sq ft) of warehousing on short term leases, at a quoting rent of £21.50 per sq m (£2.00 per sq ft).
King Sturge & Co advised CDP while Edmund Kirby represented HMSO.
