NatWest Markets has announced plans to buy JO Hambro Magan for a price estimated at £85m-£150m. Hambro Magan has advised on transactions with a combined value of more than £18bn. Its chairman, George Magan, was closely involved with deals such as BTR’s battle for Dunlop in 1985 and Dee Corporation’s £328m bid for Booker McConnell.
