Lonhro is believed to have chosen two preferred bidders for its international hotel business. Fairmont, the privately owned San Francisco-based hotel group, is close to acquiring the 10 Princess hotels for about £345m.
Stakis, the Glasgow hotel and leisure group is lining up a £335m bid to acquire Lonhro’s five Metropole hotels.
